The JHS Varsity Band is directed by Mr. Kurtz and meets during 7th period every day. This class is made up of only percussion students. Throughout the semester, students prepare band literature that will be combined with wind players of the Concert Band and Freshman Band at our concerts. The students will also prepare percussion ensemble pieces that will be performed at Solo & Ensemble Contest in February. All performances are listed on the calendar.
Note: The band calendar includes dates & times for everything that goes on in the band program. If anything is added or changed, we will communicate that as soon as we can. All students will need to supply their own drum pad and one (1) of drum sticks. Below are my recommendation for each out these.
