The JHS Freshman Band is split into two different class periods. The 2nd Freshman Band is directed by Mr. Mackling and the 6th period Freshman Band is directed by Mr. Kurtz. While the class is directed by both Mr. Macklin and Mr. Kurtz, they will meet everyday to prepare the same grade 1.5-3 band literature and perform that literature together at concerts throughout the year. All performances are listed on the calendar.
Note: The calendar includes dates & times for everything that goes on in the band program. The JHS Freshman Band is an ensemble for all freshman band students who are not in the Symphonic or Concert band. |
