The Symphonic Band is the top ensemble at JHS. This ensemble meets during 1st period every day and prepares grade 3-5 band literature for performances throughout the year. Students from all grade levels are eligible to audition to earn a spot in this ensemble. All performances are listed on the calendar.
The Symphonic Band will, on occasion, accompany the JHS Orchestra during Orchestra concerts throughout the school year. The Symphonic Band and top Orchestra are schedule at the same time to allow the two ensembles to rehearse together during the school day leading up to the concert.
Auditions for this ensemble take place during 2nd semester of every school year. Students who audition for this ensemble will know their results BEFORE the end of that school year.
