The Cavalier Indoor Drumline is newest instrumental ensemble at JHS. The ensemble is made up of battery and front ensemble percussion. The concept of indoor drumline is very similar to marching band but has its unique touch on the shows. The ensemble will marching drill while playing music but instead of on a field, we are on a custom tarp. And instead of our marching band uniforms, we are in custom uniforms that match the show.
This group is a member of the Minnesota Percussion Association and competes in the Scholastic A Class against numerous ensembles based in South Dakota and Minnesota. The group will perform at 3-4 competitions, two being MPA Prelims and Finals, and will host one show at JHS, the SD Send-Off Show before leaving MPA Finals. We can assume coordinating dates but the official competition schedule is released by MPA in December.
