This page will cover all accidental fingerings from Bb1-D#/Eb4. All octaves within this range are group together to show the similarities and differences between how each is fingered.
Note: The following pitches will be covered on the following pages:
  • Half Hole: F#/Gb3
  • "LRLR": D#/Eb4
Here is a quick lesson/reminder of what parts of each hand
​is used for each section of the fingering chart.

A#/Bb

Low Bb: This is the lowest note on the bassoon. All fingering are pressed down on the respected keys with the right thumb on the low E key and left thumb on the low Bb key.

A#/Bb2: Press all the keys for A2 and add the A#/Bb key with your right thumb.

A#/Bb3: This is the same as the octave lower but release the whisper key.

C#/Db
C#/Db2: Press all of the keys down for C2 and use your left pinky to press the C#/Db key.

C#/Db3: Press all the keys for C3 and add the D and C#/Db key with your right thumb.

C#/Db4: This is the same as the octave lower but release the whisper key.

D#/Eb
D#/Eb2: Press all of the keys down for D2 and use your left pinky to press the D#/Eb key.

D#/Eb3: Press all the keys for E3 and also close the 3rd tone hole in the left hand.
​

D#/Eb4: Press all of the keys for D4 and also close the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd tone hole in your right hand.

F#/Gb3: Press all of the keys down for G3 and use your right thumb to press the F#/Gb key.

F#/Gb4: This is the same as the octave lower but roll your left hand 1st finger to only cover 1/4 of the tone hole.
